Our company was formed in 2009 with the aim of creating a more complete service than currently available. From our years of experience in warehouse logistics, particularly 3PL, we found that container unpacking services were lacking in some areas. Although it is great to have labour on tap, we found that there was still a lot of time consumed by our own storemen and admin people in receipt of goods.

This was mainly in the form of coaching container crews in the pallet configurations for various clients, and the checking of goods received against the packing lists. For cross docked goods, we were spending a lot of time breaking down quantities by destination, labelling & wrapping the pallets. On the admin side, our office staff would have to get a list of empty containers daily, and track back through emails to reply to the appropriate cartage people in regards to empty pick ups. On busier days errors could be common, pallets packed incorrectly, damages, wrong quantities booked in or sent out, and pick ups overlooked. All of which would inevitably lead to expense in some form.

Having mainly been involved in container  imports and cross docking for the last few years, we have personal experience of cost blowouts in what should be a simple process. Which is why Boxwise was formed.

We offer experienced forklift drivers & storemen who will not only unpack, but check the stock, and also wrap and label as necessary. They will also create a record of pallet configurations, and processes for each product unloaded. This means they will only take up minimal time from your staff initially, eventually being able to work autonomously.

What we also offer is automatic notice to any email address supplied at the time you book a crew for the container. When a job is complete, we email the person who booked it & the addresses they supply. This could be a manager or cartage department. This means you can book a crew & forget about the container. No more detention charges!

Finally, we keep an online record of all containers completed for you. This means, at month end, you can verify all container shipments completed, and charge out correctly.
